Henley and her bottle
Henley passed out
I think having twins makes you even more resourceful than having one baby. We've found keeping twins on the same schedule is key to keeping sanity. So, in order to be on the same scheudule, we have to feed them at the same time...the twins "feed themselves" sometimes. I just prop up the bottle with the blanket and they do really well like this! Believe it or not!
The babies are going on 6 weeks this week. I have to admit, I'm getting a little stir crazy in the house. We've tried to go on a few outings though. We had a very successful trip to Nonni's house last weekend, but lunch with Emily at the store did not go so well. Maybe they just need to be a little older? I'm not sure, any suggestions on how to get out of the house with twins are welcomed! We're going to try and get to the park this week with Carlie -- wish us luck!

I did the same thing with bottles for my girls! You definitely need to be resourceful with twins.I found that activities that involved movement such as walking anywhere with them in the stroller (at the mall, in a park, etc.etc.) were good things to do to get out of the house. Also, think about joining a multiples group...the advice from other moms is great! I am a member of the one here in MD but I googled where you live and there's one too at www.bamom.org.
You know, I didn't find this out, but their are bottles out there with a long straw attached to a nipple. Somebody help me with what they are called!?!? May ask around and find out. You are ALWAYS more than welcome to bring them to walk over here or sit by the pool under the cabana. Come on!! I can't imagine what lunch at Emily's store was like! :-)
They are PRECIOUS! I just can't believe it has been six weeks! I have a gift for you, and I want to get it in the mail....will you email me your address?

You look beautiful, and sound like you are handling life with twins beautifully! I can't wait to see them again!
Call me if you need anything!
Things look like they're going so well! I know those babies are so happy. They're adorable. We arrived home at the start of cold/flu season and I was advised not to get them out (rsv), so I can identify with the cabin fever. As much as I coveted naptime b/c it was my time to do things around the house, I would often go out then b/c until they got older, they'd sleep pretty much anywhere. I agree with the motion advice - a good drive, a stroll, if you have the carriers you strap to your chest. Even with a schedule, they can be unpredictable. Or just call a sitter (I'm guessing you have a list of friends/family who would love to) and be sure that Mama gets out now and then. You need it!
Those bottles are called Podee - my twins can't quite get the hang of them, but a friend's twins LOVE theirs. I have the bebe bottle slings - and think they are the greatest invention known to man! They hang from the infant car seats, and are awesome. You are right about keeping them on the same schedule - it makes the biggest difference in the world!
I love how Davis is wrapped up in pink and Henley in blue. As you said, the color thing lasted about a week! Precious babies---I can't wait to see them next week!
I just wanted to say hello. I got your blog from a friend, Kelly; I have stage IV endo and am going through my first IVF miscarriage. Thank you for sharing your story! Your children are beautiful, and, your story is very inspiring for me. :)
